2022: Started 10 matches while seeing action in 15 accumulating 939 minutes… Scored a single goal, his first career goal in 5-1 win over Winthrop (9/2) …recorded eight shots, four on goal earning a .500 SOG%.... Had a key save against West Virginia (10/23)…limited play in SBC Tournament due to injury.

2021: Limited due to injury played in just six matches, but did play in both MAC Championship matches and the NCAA Tournament win over Charlotte . . . Finished season playing 135 minutes on the pitch.

2020: Returned to action and played in six matches while taking three shots, including two shots on goal . . . Helped a backline that led the nation in shutouts, team goals against average and save percentage.

2019: Medical Redshirt.

2018: Played in 14 games and started in eight to accumulate nearly 700 minutes on the pitch . . . Fired seven total shots and three on target for a .429 shot on goal percentage . . . Aided a GSU back line that conceded only 25 goals in 20 matches and pitched five shutouts, the second-most in the league . . . Fired a season-high three shots against UAB (11/2).

Prep: Two-year letter winner at Milton High School in Milton, Ga. . . . Played center back and defensive midfield . . . 2018 GHSA 7A All-Region Team ... 2015 & 2018 MHS Defensive Player of the Year . . . Team Captain in 2018 . . . Had the deciding penalty kick goal and multiple goal-line clearances to secure his team a spot in the playoffs . . . Played club soccer for Atlanta United Academy under head coach Rodrigo Rios . . . Graduated with Academic Honors.

Personal: Clayton Christian Dawes was born on Dec. 26, 1999, in Naperville, Ill. . . . Son of Matt and Barbara Dawes . . . Has three siblings, Ashton, Delaney, and Preston.
