Melissa Stratton

Melissa Stratton joined the Georgia State staff as an athletic trainer in June 2022. She currently serves as the athletic trainer for women's basketball. 

Stratton came to GSU after completing her MBA in healthcare management and a graduate assistant position at Mercer University. She primarily worked with women's soccer and football but also assisted with women's lacrosse, beach volleyball, softball and men's tennis. 

Prior to Mercer, she worked at Neurosport Physical Therapy in Marietta, Ga., her hometown. She served as the athletic trainer for a local high school, saw patients in the physical therapy clinic and worked directly with NTH soccer academy. 

In 2018, Stratton graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in athletic training.
