Dan Dawson began as a volunteer goalkeepers coach for the Georgia State men's soccer team during the 2013 season.

He graduated from Central Baptist in December 2013 with a degree in business administration and a GPA of 3.87.

Dawson played his final season of collegiate soccer at Central Baptist (Ark.) and was named team's defensive most valuable player. Prior to moving to Arkansas, he played three years at Truett McConnell College (Cleveland, Ga.).

In England, Dawson trained in the academy at Crystal Palace of the Barclays Premier League. While there he received training from some of the best youth soccer coaches in London. Dawson played for the youth team at Cray Wanderers, the second oldest club in the world. He was also the youngest player to play for the first team after making an appearance in a preseason friendly at the age of 15. He also had trials at Arsenal, Millwall, Charlton and Gillingham.

Dawson coached the goalkeepers at Central Baptist during the 2013 spring semester. He then went on to coach the under 11 select team for Arkansas United soccer club.

Dawson moved back to Atlanta in January of 2014 and started coaching at United Futbol Academy - Norcross. He coaches three teams in the academy system.

His family still lives in London, England and he currently resides in Roswell, Ga. Dawson is a supporter of Arsenal F.C. of the Premier League.
