As a soccer player, Holland competed at Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn. for the Lions at the NAIA level. The team earned a conference championship in 2009. He later competed with the Atlanta Silverbacks from 2012-14 as a non-contracted player. In 2014, Holland also was with Miami Dade FC, the NAL league champions.

As a rising coach, Holland has worked with the United Futbol Academy, primarily in the Foysth County area, since 2013 as a goalkeeper coach. Holland has also worked as a goalkeeper coach with Cambridge High School in Milton and Parkview High School in Lilburn. He holds a USSF "F" license.

Holland is finishing studies for a business administration degree with Liberty University.

His primary role in 2015 with Georgia State is working to develop the young trio of Panther goalkeepers.
