AT GEORGIA STATE:
Left-handed guard who is one of the top three-point shooters in Georgia State annals . . . The Panthers' second-leading scorer each of the last three seasons . . . Can play both guard positions . . . Earned two CAA Player of the Week honors and one CAA Rookie of the Week award in his career.
Played in more games in a Georgia State uniform (122) than any other Panther . . . Became the 16th player in school history to score 1,000 points before finishing his career in 14th place on GSU's career scoring list with 1,041 points . . . 2009-10:
Georgia State's second-leading scorer for the third straight season, averaging 10.3 points per game . . . The Panthers' top three-point threat who ranked seventh in the CAA in three-point percentage (.388) and ninth in treys per game (1.8) . . . Shot 87 percent from the free throw line, including a streak of 21 straight that is the second-longest in school history.
Named CAA Player of the week for the second time in his career on Dec. 28 after pouring in a career-best 28 points in win over Georgia Southern (12/22). Went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and 11-for-16 from the field . . . That followed 22 points in Dec. 19 win over Eastern Michigan, including 15 in the second half. Went 5-for-8 from long range with four treys in the Panthers' second-half comeback.
Scored 18 points in win over Towson (1/2), highlighted by a crucial trey with four minutes to play . . . Scored 19 points at VCU (1/16) while grabbing a career-best six steals . . . . Added 15 points against William & Mary (2/6) and Drexel (1/4) Scored 16 points against Drake on 7-for-8 shooting from the field.
2008-09:
Georgia State’s second-leading scorer at 10.8 points per game . . . The Panthers’ top three-point threat with 2.0 treys per game (8th CAA) and a .335 accuracy rate (10th CAA) . . . Shot 82 percent at the free throw line but did not have enough attempts to qualify for league leaders . . . Had buzzer-beating three-pointers against Old Dominion and UNC Wilmington.
Named CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 16 after averaging 23 points against Towson and UNC Wilmington as he went 10-for-19 from three-point range for the two contests.
Hit five three-pointers and scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half against UNCW (2/14) . . . Nailed the game-winning three-pointer against the Seahawks with just five seconds left, taking a feed from Joe Dukes and hitting from the corner . . . Notched a career-high with 25 points in overtime loss at Towson (2/18); 10-for-17 from the field with five treys.
Hit the game-winning three-pointer with 11 seconds left in Georgia State’s 55-54 win over Old Dominion (1/3) . . .
Had 15 points, including 4-of-6 on three-pointers, in win over Hofstra (2/25) . . . Scored 18 points against James Madison (2/4) on 8-for-14 shooting . . .
Poured in 24 points against Florida State with four three-pointers; was twice fouled on three-point attempts and made all six free throws

2007-08:
Georgia State’s second-leading scorer at 9.3 ppg, including 12.0 ppg over the last five games of the season . . . Led the league in three-point shooting accuracy in CAA games at 46.4 percent . . . Shot 39.9 percent for all games (fifth in the CAA) . . . Played both guard positions and started 19 games, including the last nine . . . Scored in double figures in 13 games . . . Hit 16-of-36 on three-pointers over the last six games.
The hero of Georgia State’s 57-55 win over Northeastern (2/16) as he nailed the game-winning three-pointer with 1.5 seconds left . . . Scored a career-high 22 points against UNC Wilmington (2/2) . . . Hit six three-pointers, also his career best, on 10 attempts, and added a career-high four rebounds, three assists and two steals against the Seahawks . . . Had a 15-point effort against James Madison (3/1) in the regular-season finale . . . Turned in a 4-for-5 performance from three-point range in State’s win over Towson (2/27), scoring 12 points.
Added 15 points in win over Troy (11/24) . . . Opened the season with 10 points, two assists and two steals against UAB, then added nine points against Elon (11/17).
Scored 16 points against VCU (2/6), going 4-for-5 from three-point range . . . Enjoyed the best two-game stretch of his career in December with 38 points, 13-for-25 FG, 10-for-17 3P against Coastal Carolina (12/22) and UTSA (12/15) . . . Poured in 20 points against Coastal Carolina, the second-best game of his career . . . Hit career-best six three-pointers, including five in the first half . . . Scored 18 points in overtime win over UTSA, including 4-for-5 from three-point range. Hit a three to tie the game at 64-all with 1:14 left in regulation. Sank two free throws with 16 seconds left in overtime to seal the win.
2006-07:
Played in 28 of 31 games as a freshman with one start . . . Averaged 3.2 points while playing 11.5 minutes per game . . . Recorded four double-figure scoring efforts . . . Hit 16 of 45 three-point attempts (35.6 percent).
Named CAA Rookie of the Week on Nov. 20 after scoring a career-high 22 points with four three-point baskets in win over Winston-Salem State . . . Hit seven of 11 attempts from the field and four of five free throws while playing a season-high 31 minutes in that game.
Scored 15 points in win over UNC Wilmington, his high in a CAA game, when he contributed four three-pointers along with season highs of four assists, four rebounds and two steals. . . Also reached double figures with 11 points vs. Drexel and 10 points with three assists in season opener vs. Charleston
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played his final two seasons at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. . . . Averaged 21 points and six assists per game as a senior for coach Dan Barto . . . Helped his team to a 28-6 record in 2005-06.
Averaged 23 points and seven assists in the Great Southern Showcase in Jackson, Miss., with a top game of 27 points and 10 assists for a double-double. In the three-point shooting contest, he turned away all challengers in winning that individual contest.
Played for coach Dawson Green at Redan High in the Atlanta suburb of Stone Mountain before earning a scholarship to IMG . . . Averaged 17 points and six assists per game as a sophomore and was the team's most valuable player.. . . Helped the team to 18-8 and 20-6 season records and a DeKalb County Team-of-the-Month honor . . . Played AAU basketball for three years for the Atlanta-based World Wide Renegades.

William "Trae" Goldston, III was born May 11, 1987, in Atlanta to Dale and Shelley Goldston . . . Youngest of four boys, with older brothers Richard, Vaughn and Marcus . . . Father played junior college basketball in New York . . . Majoring in public policy . . . Will earn his degree in May 2010.
