Aaron "AJ" Jackson joined the Georgia State sports medicine staff in August 2025 as the athletic trainer for men's basketball and women's golf.
Prior to GSU, Jackson spent two years in the NBA G League as an assistant athletic trainer for both the College Park Skyhawks (Atlanta Hawks affiliate) and the Rip City Remix (Portland Trail Blazers affiliate). Before entering professional sports, he gained experience as an athletic trainer across both collegiate and secondary school settings.
A native of Queens, New York, Jackson earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Stony Brook University in 2019 and a Master's in Kinesiology from Temple University in 2021. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Athletic Training degree with a concentration in Education from A.T. Still University. Additionally, Jackson holds certifications in dry needling, manual therapy, Performance Enhancement (PES), and Corrective Exercise (CES).
