Sean Flannery was elevated to assistant coach in August of 2023 after one year as the video coordinator on head coach Jonas Hayes' staff.
Flannery came to Georgia State in 2022 after two seasons as a graduate assistant at Xavier, where he worked under Hayes as the Mountaineers won the 2022 National Invitation Tournament.
While in college he served internships with the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nev., and USA Basketball in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Flannery played college basketball at John Carroll University, where he was a three-year starter and team captain and helped the program reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in Division III.
Flannery earned his bachelor's degree in sports studies from John Carroll in 2020 and then added his master's in coaching education at Xavier in 2022.
