Maerys Joseph joined the Georgia State University athletics department as an academic advisor in July 2025. She currently works with the football and women’s track & field and cross country programs within the Office of Academic Support and Student-Athlete Development (P.A.S.S.).

Prior to arriving at GSU, Joseph served as an academic counselor at the University of Arkansas, where she worked with men’s track & field and women’s golf. She also held multiple roles at Louisiana State University, including assistant academic advisor and graduate assistant within the Academic Center for Student-Athletes, supporting the track & field program. In each position, she focused on academic planning, eligibility monitoring, and individualized support for student-athletes.

Joseph graduated from Nicholls State University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and minors in management and marketing. A former Division I student-athlete, she competed in track & field and still holds the school record in the 400m. Joseph earned her Master of Science in Sport Management from Louisiana State University in 2024.

She is a native of Donaldsonville, La.
