Elijah Holifield joined the Georgia State University athletics department as an academic advisor in September 2024, working with football and women’s tennis.
Prior to arriving at GSU, Holifield played basketball for two years at St. John’s University under NBA Hall of Famer Chris Mullin, where he served as a peer leader in athletics for all freshman athletes, guiding them through their transition into collegiate athletics.
After transferring to Prairie View A&M University, his time there was highlighted by a 2019 SWAC regular season and tournament championship, as well as an NCAA tournament appearance. Holifield graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and Dean's List honors before attending Western New Mexico University as a graduate transfer.
While at WNMU, Elijah was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Conference Team and graduated in 2022 with a master’s degree in educational leadership.
Elijah is a native of Norwalk, Connecticut, and graduated from Pace Academy in 2015.
