AT GEORGIA STATE: Super senior and slot receiver who returns for a sixth season in 2021. 
    
2020: Had three catches for 39 yards and three rushes for eight yards ... In the fourth quarter vs. No. 19 Louisiana, he had an 18-yard reception to the 13-yard line to set up the tying TD ... In fourth-quarter comeback vs. Georgia Southern, he had a 13-yard reception down to the 8-yard line to set up a touchdown ... Also had an 18-yard reception in win over ULM.
    
2019: Finished 2019 with 10 receptions for 75 yards ... Had two catches for 23 yards at Western Michigan and three receptions vs. Texas State .. Also had catches against Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Troy, App State and South Alabama ... Added one rush for five yards vs. Coastal Carolina.
    
Played in one game (ULM) in 2018 ... Enrolled in January 2016 after originally signing with the Panthers in 2015 ... Redshirted in 2016 and did not see any game action in 2017.

HIGH SCHOOL: All-region and all-county selection at Evans High School … Member of Augusta Chronicle “Dream 16” team … Played quarterback as a senior, passing for 1,539 yards and 14 touchdowns while rushing for 358 yards and six scores … Also played defensive back and grabbed one interception … Coached by Marty Jackson.
               
PERSONAL: Full name is Matlin Ali Marshall ... Son of Marvin and LaScotia Marshall ... Born Sept. 12, 1996 ... Father is a member of the Hall of Fame at South Carolina State and went on to play in the NFL for three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He later coached in the NFL and is now a high school coach ... Earned his degree in 2020 and is pursuing a master’s in health and physical education with plans to be a teacher or coach.
