Tristan Henderson joined the Georgia State staff as an offensive analyst in January 2026 after two seasons as the director of recruiting at UAB.

Henderson previously served as an offensive assistant with the Blazers and has been part of the program for eight seasons overall. During his time on staff, UAB compiled a 50-26 record, won two Conference USA championships, three Conference USA divisional titles and three bowl games following the program’s reinstatement.

Henderson played tight end for the Blazers from 2013–14 and appeared in 21 games. In 2014, he helped UAB achieve bowl eligibility for the first time in 10 years and finished the season with six receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.

A native of Concord, N.C., Henderson served in the U.S. Army from 2008–11 before attending Cerritos College in 2012 and joining UAB for the 2013 season.

Henderson and his wife, Monica, have one son, Ayden.
