Dusty Bennett

Dusty Bennett, a Georgia State graduate and former student-athlete, was named Director of Football Operations in June 2015.

Bennett returned to Georgia State after serving as Upper School academic resource specialist, assistant athletic director and head varsity baseball coach at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in Atlanta in 2014-15.

In 2013-14, he worked at the International Center for Sport Management while he began work on his Ph.D. in Sport Management at the University of Georgia.

Bennett previously was a member of the Georgia State athletics staff from 2009-13 as an academic advisor, working primarily with the football and golf programs. He also served as a graduate assistant in the athletic department in 2008-09, coordinating life skills programs.

Bennett was a four-year member of the Panther baseball team from 2005-08. After receiving his bachelor's degree in art history from Georgia State in May 2008, he went on to complete his master's in sport administration in 2009.

A native of Tyrone, Ga., Bennett played football and baseball at Sandy Creek High School. He and his wife, Reanna, have two sons, Dustin, 5, and Carson, 2.
