AT GEORGIA STATE: Two-time All-Sun Belt Conference tight end  with 13 career touchdowns in three seasons, the most by a GSU tight end and tied for fourth among all receivers ... Had 47 receptions for 541 yards in 36 games for the Panthers ... 2022 Transferred to Georgia State in 2018 after two seasons at Western Carolina.

2022: Returned for a seventh season but was limited by injury, playing in just three games ... Turn 25 in October and was the oldest player ever to suit up for the Panthers and Georgia State's first seventh-year student-athlete ... Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference (second team).

2021: Earned All-Sun Belt (honorable mention) recognition ... Led the team with seven touchdown receptions, one shy of the GSU season record ... Had 25 catches for 251 yards on the season ... His best game was the TaxAct Camellia Bowl, when he caught eight passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns, all career highs, in the win over Ball State. Caught touchdowns of 16 and 18 yards and also had a career-long 40-yard reception ... Another top performance in win at ULM with six receptions for 58 yards, including TD catches of 10 and 9 yards ... Followed with a 27-yard TD catch in win over Texas State ... Caught a 3-yard TD pass in the Panthers’ 42-40 win at No. 22/21 Coastal Carolina ...13-yard TD catch in regular-season finale win over Troy..
    
2020: Caught 10 passes for 71 yards ... Had two catches for 32 yards in win over Georgia Southern ... Also had two receptions against Louisiana, Troy and ULM.

2019: Second-team All-Sun Belt Conference ... Had six touchdown receptions in 11 games, including one in each of the first four games of the season ... Made his GSU debut at Tennessee and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Dan Ellington in the 38-30 victory ... Caught a 20-yard touchdown in the win over Furman ... Had another 20-yard TD at Western Michigan and then a 5-yard TD at Texas State ...After missing the Coastal Carolina game due to injury, he returned vs. Army and caught the go-ahead touchdown with an 8-yard reception with 7:41 to play in the 28-21 wins. Also had a 29-yard reception on that drive, finishing with three catches for 43 yards in the game ... Caught a 40-yard touchdown pass in win over Troy ... Sat out the 2018 season as a transfer.
               
2017 (WCU): Only played in one game on the season before being sidelined with injury ... Caught one pass for 23 yards in the season opener at Hawai’i.
               
2016 (WCU): Named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman team ... Played in 10 of the team’s 11 games with six starts, including five of the final six games of the season … Finished with 14 receptions for 123 yards … Made his first collegiate reception against ETSU in a game played at the Bristol Motor Speedway … Recorded career highs with six receptions for 44 yards at Mercer … Scored his first two career points on a two-point conversion against Chattanooga (Oct. 28) … Added two solo tackles.
               
HIGH SCHOOL: Received second-team Class AAAA All-State honors from the Georgia Sports Writers Association, as well as first team All-Metro accolades by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ... Two-time, first team all-region selection at Locust Grove High School ... Had 30 receptions for 575 yards and five TDs as a senior ... Was a five-time player of the week selection including three as a senior ... As a junior, caught 15 passes for 209 yards with an average of 13.9 yards per reception with five touchdowns ... Also had 21 tackles with a sack as a defensive end ... Coached by Clint Satterfield.
               
PERSONAL: Full name is Aubry William Payne ... Son of Scott Payne ... Married the former Malory Oliver in December 2021 ... Earned his undergraduate degree in sociology, graduating in fall 2021.
