AT GEORGIA STATE: Tall right-handed pitcher who anchored the weekend rotation his sophomore and junior seasons ... Owns career earned run average of 4.07 that is the second lowest by any Georgia State pitcher with at least 100 innings ... Tied for eighth in GSU history with 33 games started and is just outside the top 10 with 196.2 innings pitched ... Selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 15th round (465th pick) of the 2015 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft following his junior season.

2015: Friday starter and two-time Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week ... 5-3 with a 4.15 ERA ... Made 16 starts, just one shy of the GSU season record, and led the team with 89.0 innings pitched.

Allowed just one run and three hits, only one of which left the infield, in his first two starts ... Named Sun Belt Player of the Week after his Opening Day start, when he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning vs. Fordham. Faced the minimum through 6.2 before allowing a single to center field. Final line: 0 runs, 1 hit, 8 strikeouts, 1 walk in 7 innings ... Struck out nine in 6.1 innings in win at Arkansas State (3-15-15) but did not figure in the decision.

Earned his second Sun Belt weekly award March 30 after he pitched seven shutout innings with six hits allowed and five strikeouts in win at UT Arlington (3-27-15), helping the Panthers to the sweep ... Started two games in the ULM series. After his Friday start (4-10-15)was suspended after two innings, came back on Sunday with three scoreless innings with three hits allowed and four strikeouts as part of the Panthers’ combined shutout.

Outstanding start at Appalachian State (4-17-15), allowing two runs in 7.2 innings with six strikeouts and no walks but did not figure in the decision ... Finished the regular season with a win over Georgia Southern (5-14-15), allowing two runs on six hits with six strikeouts over six innings ... Six days later he helped the Panthers to another win over Georgia Southern in the first round of the Sun Belt Championship. Allowed two runs on five hits over 6.1 innings but did not figure in the decision.

2014: Weekend starter who led the team with a 4.76 earned run average, along with a 1-3 record ... Second on the team in innings pitched (62.1) ... Pitched into the sixth inning or later in his last seven starts ...

Earned his first victory of the season with a strong outing at UALR (4-5-14). Allowed just one unearned run in 6.1 innings, scattering five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in the 3-2 victory.

Allowed just two runs on four hits with five strikeouts in 5.1 innings vs. UT Arlington (4-12-14) but did not figure in the decision ... Pitched five scoreless innings in start at Texas State before allowing a grand slam with two outs in the sixth ... Followed with another strong start against Arkansas State with a season-high 10 strikeouts in 6.2 innings but left with the score tied 3-3 in a game GSU went on to win in 10 innings ... Allowed just two runs in 6.2 innings in his final start at WKU ... Also made weekend starts vs. Illinois, Ole Miss, Troy, South Alabama and ULM.

2013: Had a strong freshman season, highlighted by conference rookie-of-the-week honors ... Posted a 2-1 record and a 2.98 ERA in 12 appearances covering 45.1 innings ... Started six games, including five on the weekend ... Named CAA Rookie of the Week on April 15 after he pitched nine innings and struck out a career-high 11 at New Orleans (4-12-13). Did not earn the win in the 12-inning victory but allowed just one earned run (three total) on five hits ... Earned his first weekend start at Delaware (3-29-13) and pitched into the eighth inning. Allowed just one earned run through seven innings ... Earned a win in relief against Fordham (4-5-13), when he pitched six innings and allowed four runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.

Had a strong relief outing at Mercer (3-20-13), when he pitched 4.2 innings of shutout relief to earn the win. Entered the game with two on and one out in the fifth inning and the Panthers clinging to an 8-7 lead and recorded a strikeout and a pop up to end the inning. Allowed just two hits and two walks and struck out five ... Made his first start vs. UNC Asheville (3-6-13) and allowed two unearned runs on six hits in 3.1 innings.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner at Starr’s Mill High School, where he pitched and played the outfield ... 2012 honorable mention all-county by the Fayette County News ... Perfect Game Underclass honorable mention in 2011 ... Southeast Region honorable mention 2012 ... Finished his senior season at Starr’s Mill with a 9-6 record, a 3.23 ERA and 83 strikeouts in 69 innings ... Helped lead Starr’s Mill to a 17-7 record in his senior season ... Also played basketball in high school and earned all-region and All-Fayette County honors ... Finished his prep career as SMHS’s all-time leader in rebounds and blocks and was third all-time in scoring.
