Left-handed pitcher who lettered four years, contributing as both a starter and a reliever ... Finished fifth in Georgia State history with 71 career appearances ... 2016: Team leader with 25 appearances on the mound, including four starts ... Fourth with 56.2 innings pitched ... Posted a 3-5 record with one save ... Led the staff with six pickoffs.
Winning pitcher vs. No. 23 South Alabama (4-30-16) as he threw four scoreless innings in relief over two days, allowing one unearned run on four hits in 7-4 win. Came back to start the next game 40 minutes later and pitched into the fourth inning of the 2-1 loss.
Earned a victory in relief in 4-3 win over Mercer (3-8-16) ... Allowed just one earned run in 5.2 innings vs. Savannah State (3-15-16) but did not figure in the decision ... Outstanding relief effort to earn win vs. Arkansas State (3-2-16). Pitched 5.0 innings and allowed just one run on five hits with two strikeouts ... Pitched into the seventh inning at Auburn (4-5-16) and kept GSU in the game before the Tigers pulled away late.
Earned his first career save in his final appearance with three innings in relief in 5-4 win over rival Georgia Southern (5-20-16).
2015: Moved into the starting rotation over final three weeks of the season ... 1-3 record with a 4.47 ERA ... Made 17 appearances, including seven starts.
Quality start against Georgia Southern (5-16-15) in regular-season finale, when he allowed just two runs on eight hits in 7.2 innings .... Earned his first victory of the season with 3.1 innings of scoreless relief at Kennesaw State (5-6-15) ... Teamed with six other pitchers in Georgia State’s combined shutout of ULM (4-12-15) ... Had a strong start vs. Oglethorpe, when he allowed one run over six innings with a career-high seven strikeouts ... Another solid start at Troy (5-10-15) when he allowed one earned run on four hits over 5.1 innings.
2014: Posted a 1-1 record in 29 appearances ... Primarily a reliever but made four starts.
Made the first relief appearance of his career against Illinois (2-15-14) ... Threw 4.2 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, in relief at Ole Miss (2-21-14) ... Added two scoreless innings in relief at Georgia Tech (4-2-14) ... Allowed one run in 3.2 innings of relief vs. UT Arlington (4-13-14), picking off two runners in the game ... Earned a victory with five scoreless innings and just two hits allowed in a start against Oglethorpe.
2013: Started every weekend series as a freshman ... Two-time CAA Rookie of the Week selection ... Record of 4-4 ... Second on the team with 74.2 innings pitched ... Pitched into the sixth inning in nine of his 14 starts ... Led all CAA freshmen in wins, starts and innings ... Recorded victories over Butler, George Mason, Fordham and Northeastern ... Had three pickoffs.
Earned his second CAA Rookie of the Week Award on Apr. 29 after throwing eight scoreless innings in a combined shutout of Northeastern. Allowed just four hits and walked none while striking out four in eight innings.
Allowed just one earned run in 6.0 innings to win his debut against Butler (2-16-13) ... The tough-luck loser in a 2-0 defeat by Boston College. Took a shutout into the seventh inning before allowing one run. Final line saw him allow just one run on five hits with one walk in 6.2 innings ... Named CAA Rookie of the Week March 10 after he threw eight shutout innings in win over George Mason (3-9-13) before allowing three runs in the ninth ... Allowed just one earned run in six innings to earn win against Fordham (4-6-13).
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner at Loganville High School as a pitcher, outfielder and first baseman ... 2012 Georgia Class AAAA Player of the Year by the Georgia Dugout Club ... Named to GHSA Preseason AAAA All-State team ... Region 8-AAAA Pitcher of the Year in 2012 ... Perfect Game/Rawlings Southeast Region Honorable Mention All-America and All-County selection in 2012 ... 2011 GHSA Junior Team selection ... First-team all-region in 2011 ... 2011 Georgia Dugout Club Outstanding Season Award winner ... Went 12-1 with 54 strikeouts and a 1.98 ERA in 70.2 innings of action while posting a .310 batting average as a senior...Finished his high school career with a 21-1 career record and 100 strikeouts as a pitcher ... Helped lead Loganville to a 31-9 overall record, the 2012 Class AAAA state championship and a No. 20 national ranking by Rawlings/Perfect Game ...
