2006: Made 10 appearances and had three starts...Went 1-2 with an ERA of 5.96 in 25.2 innings of work...In his first career appearance, gave up one run on two hits while striking out one in state’s 8-1 win over Albany (2/17)...In first collegiate start, went five innings and gave up three runs, taking a no decision against Mississippi Valley State (3/16)...Won third collegiate start, pitching five innings and giving up two runs on four hits in a 9-2 victory over Samford (5/9)...Pitched one inning and recorded a strikeout in State’s loss to James Madison at the CAA Championships (5/24).

Prep: Allen pitched for the Mustangs of Kennesaw Mountain High School...As a senior, was named to the Dugout Club All-Tournament team, as his team won the Regional Championship and advanced to the final four...During summer baseball, he tossed a no-hitter against the East Cobb Braves.

Personal: Tyler was born on August 6, 1987, in Georgia. He is the son of Robert and Sarah Allen, and he has one sister.
