ATLANTA – The Panthers are back in Atlanta this week to host a match against UNC-Asheville on Wednesday, September 23^rd at 6:00 p.m. E.T.
 
SERIES HISTORY 
This will be GSU's ninth time facing the Bulldogs since 2015. The Panthers have dominated the series with a 6-1-1 overall record. Their only loss came last season on the road with a final score of 3-1. Georgia State looks to defend their home turf where they are undefeated by UNC-Asheville.
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
UNC-Asheville enters the match after securing a 3-0 shutout against Longwood last Saturday. They have an overall record of 6-1-1 on the season, led by Head Coach Danny Frid in his second season.
 
BETWEEN THE POSTS
Georgia State looks to add another win to their 5-2-1 record after falling 1-0 to West Virginia on Thursday night in the first conference match of the season.  
The Panthers defense played a hard match, keeping WVU out of scoring position in the first before giving up a lone goal after the half.

Jackson Burrell led the team with five saves out of a total 10 shots.

Burell has been a force for GSU, helping them record three shutouts while playing for a total of 540 minutes on the season. He has a total of 33 saves with a save percentage of 85%

GSU ranks number one in the Sun Belt in Save Percentage and Saves Per Game.
