ATLANTA – Georgia State opens conference play on the road this week with a match against West Virginia on Thursday, September 17^th in Morgantown, W. Va.
 
SERIES HISTORY 

This will be the ninth time the Panthers face West Virginia since 2013. GSU capitalized on home turf in Atlanta, edging out a tight 2-1 victory in 2025. Georgia State is on the hunt to make a statement and secure their first conference win of the 2026 campaign.
 
SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES

West Virginia enters the match 3-1-1 on the season, led by Head Coach Dan Stratford in his 6^th season. The Wolverines last played on Friday, Sept. 11, shutting out Denver 5-0.
 
PANTHERS ON THE PROWL

GSU hold a 5-1-1 record after falling 3-0 to Wofford on Saturday afternoon.
Georgia State kept Wofford off the scoreboard in the first half before allowing three goals in the second. Jackson Burrell led Georgia State with nine saves.

The Panthers totaled four shots in the loss, three of them on goal. Georgia State faced 18 Wofford shots, 12 of them on goal.
GSU ranks number one in the Sun Belt in Save Percentage and Saves Per Game.
