ATLANTA – After defeating UAB on Thursday evening, The Panthers return to Atlanta to host West Florida at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 30.
 
SERIES HISTORY 
This will be Georgia States first time facing West Florida as the Argonauts launch their inaugural season in NCAA Division I athletics. They are members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
 
SCOUTING THE ARGONAUTS
West Florida enters Sunday's match 0-3-0 on the season, led by Head Coach Bill Elliott in his 29^th season. The Argonauts enter Sunday's match after falling 0-3 to USC-Upstate on Thursday night.
 
ROAD WARRIORS
GSU shut out UAB 1-0 in Birmingham, Ala. last Tuesday, August 25.  Kenny Yedmel netted his first goal of the season in the 41^st minute with an assist by Virgil Dall'Agnol. The Panthers were able to hold off the Blazers on both ends to stifle the Blazers defense and keep them out of scoring position. Keeper Jackson Burrell went the full 90 minutes untouched, standing tall to deny both shots on target and record a clean sheet.

Georgia State is ranked second in the Sunbelt in shots on goal per game and shutout percentage.
