ATLANTA – Georgia State third baseman Wills Maginnis was named First Team All-Sun Belt (3B), the conference announced Monday.
Maginnis earned first-team honors after anchoring the Panthers at third base and ranking among the Sun Belt's top offensive players throughout the season.
Maginnis hit .302 during the regular season with 61 hits, 45 runs scored, 12 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 41 RBI, and 21 stolen bases. He also posted a .490 slugging percentage and a .404 on-base percentage while starting all 53 games he played.
His season highlights include a walk-off home run in the 10th inning of Georgia State's 8-7 win over Old Dominion, capping a five-run ninth-inning comeback and helping the Panthers secure the series victory. Maginnis also delivered a three-RBI double in the Panthers' 11-5 road win at No. 7 Coastal Carolina, helping Georgia State complete a comeback victory over the nationally ranked Chanticleers.
Earlier in Sun Belt play, Maginnis went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored, and two RBI in Georgia State's 9-5 win over Arkansas State. He also homered in Georgia State's 4-2 win over App State during the final weekend of the regular season, helping the Panthers take the final two games of the series.
Maginnis is Georgia State's only player selected on the 2026 All-Sun Belt teams. The Panthers open the Sun Belt Baseball Championship presented by Troy University as the No. 9 seed against No. 8 Old Dominion in Montgomery, Ala.
