ATLANTA — Georgia State softball came up short on Friday night, as ULM's pitching staff held the Panthers to a 7-0 decision in at Bob Heck Softball Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Warhawks opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI double to take an early 1-0 lead.
UL Monroe added three runs in the fifth inning, starting with a run-scoring single that was extended by a throwing error to put another runner in scoring position. A two-run double later in the frame pushed the lead further to 4-0.
In the seventh inning, UL Monroe added three more runs. A sacrifice fly brought home one run, followed by a two-run double to left-center that plated two additional runs, extending the final margin to 7-0.

»Georgia State finished with just two hits and seven strikeouts at the plate.
