ELON, N.C. – Georgia State Men's Tennis battled, but could not secure a point on the road on Saturday afternoon as they fell to Elon by a match score of 4-0.
In doubles play,
Gustav Andersson and
Sota Minami reached match point on court three, taking a 6-5 lead over their counterparts from Elon. The Georgia State duo did not have a chance to secure the set win, however, as the Phoenix had already taken courts one and two.
Andersson and
Aleksandar Andrin took second set wins on courts four and six, respectively, to force decisive third sets. Those sets, however, would not be necessary as Elon's top line players defended home court, handing the Panthers defeats on courts one, two, and three.
