JACKSONVILLE, AL – Georgia State Men's Tennis finished off a week of meetings with Alabama-based teams at Jacksonville State, where they battled but were unable to collect a point, falling by a final score of 7-0.
Entering the day enjoying a strong season on doubles court three,
Gustav Andersson and
Sota Minami engaged in a back-and-forth affair with their counterparts from Jacksonville State, but had their matchup cut short as the Gamecocks had already secured wins on courts one and two.
Gabriele Datei was the only Panther able to force a third set in singles play, winning the second by a score of 6-2 before eventually falling to his first line opponent in the deciding set. The Gamecocks took wins on courts two through six in straight sets for the shutout victory.
