Women's Tennis Rolls Florida A&M on the Road

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Georgia State Women's Tennis will return from Tallahassee with a win under their belts, as they made quick work of Florida A&M on the road on Sunday morning. The Panthers rolled to a 6-1 win behind a pair of doubles wins and singles wins on lines one through five.

A doubles showdown on court one was left unfinished as the Panthers secured comfortable wins on courts two and three. Playing from the second line, Sveva Bernardi and Sara Radojevic took down their counterparts by a score of 6-2. Defne Erbakan and Lamiss Haouas won by an identical score of court three, securing the opening point for the Panthers.

Georgia State's top line players wasted no time getting to work in singles play. On court one, Maria Paredes knocked off her FAMU counterpart in straight sets, winning by identical 6-1 scores. Radojevic did her one better on line two, dropping just one point en route to a straight set win.

Zeynep Erbakan and Bernardi took care of business on lines three and four, respectively, and Haouas secured the final point of the day, winning in straight sets by identical 6-4 scores on line five.
