ATLANTA-- Georgia State men's basketball guard Jacob Meyer has been named to the 2026-27 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference First Team, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Meyer, an incoming transfer from UAB, joins the Panthers following a standout season with the Blazers, where he appeared in 28 games and made 25 starts. Despite missing four games due to injury, Meyer averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest, finishing third on the team in scoring with 347 total points.
The guard shot 40.9 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from beyond the arc, establishing himself as a consistent offensive contributor throughout the season.
Meyer delivered several standout performances during his time at UAB, highlighted by a season-high 29 points against East Carolina on Jan. 11. He also knocked down a season-best six three-pointers against South Alabama on Nov. 21, the most by a Blazer in a single game that season.
On the glass, Meyer recorded a career-high 11 rebounds against South Florida on Jan. 4, showcasing his ability to contribute beyond the scoring column.
Meyer enters his first season at Georgia State under head coach Jon Cremins and is expected to play a key role for the Panthers as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
