ATLANTA — Georgia State Men's Tennis saw their first action on the road on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Jacksonville to take on the University of North Florida. The Panthers were unable to steal the victory on the road, falling to the Ospreys by a final score of 5-0 in an abbreviated match.
The doubles pairing of
Cem Atlamis and
Aryan Jit Singh took a 5-4 lead over their counterparts from UNF, but were unable to finish their set as the Ospreys had already secured the point with identical 6-2 victories on the first and second courts.
Gustav Andersson was the only Panthers to secure a set win in the singles portion of the contest, defeating North Florida's Benjamin Scott 6-4 after dropping the opening set. The two were unable to finish their tiebreaker as rain began to roll in. With the Ospreys having secured enough points for the decision at the time of the weather delay, the match was called in favor of the home team, 5-0.
