Hurst played in all 12 games during his first year with the Panthers and led the team with 56 receptions for 961 yards. He set a Georgia State single-season record with nine touchdown catches. His highlights included two touchdowns against Vanderbilt on Sept. 14, including the game-winning score with 15 seconds remaining, and a 76-yard touchdown against Georgia Southern on Sept. 28 — the longest by any Panther last season. He also recorded tackles against Georgia Southern and Coastal Carolina.
On the defensive side, senior tackle Henry Bryant was named to the Sun Belt Preseason Second Team Defense.
