ATLANTA--Â After enjoying a bye week, Georgia State hits the road to Conway, S.C. to face Coastal Carolina at Brooks Stadium on Nov. 8 at 4:00 p.m. ET.Â
Georgia State and Coastal Carolina are meeting for the ninth time in program history, and the fifth time on the road. The Panthers and Chanticleers are tied at four wins each, with each team having all four wins on the road.Â
Quarterback
Cameran Brown became the Panthers starter in week seven at Georgia Southern. The senior QB went 29-for-38 with 280 passing yards and a career-high 120 rushing yards at Southern (Oct. 18).Â
Previously this season, veteran quarterback
TJ Finley has had the start, with Brown coming in throughout.Â
Coach McGee and the Panthers' staff welcomed the largest recruiting class in program history, adding 29 to the early signing class, and 67 total newcomers.Â

LEADING THE PACK
Receiver
Ted Hurst leads the Panthers through another season, totaling 689 yards on 47 receptions and five touchdowns. The senior notched a career-high 10 receptions and matched his career-high two touchdowns in the win over Murray State (Sept. 13), the best-single game offensive performance for the Panthers so far this season.Â

Following directly behind Hurst is
Javon Robinson with three touchdowns. The junior receiver has accumulated 386 yards on 40 receptions. The junior transfer snagged a career-high nine receptions against App State (Oct. 11).Â

Running back
Rashad Amos leads the Panthers' run-game with 281 yards on 61 carries. He scored his first touchdown of the season against Murray State (Sept. 13).Â

Freshman
TJ Peyton, the Panthers' primary kick returner, leads the Panthers in yards-per-carry, averaging 18.2 and totaling 442 all purpose yards. He ran a career-long 49-yarder at Ole Miss (Aug. 30), which is the longest rush on the team this season.Â

Quarterback
Cameran Brown leads the Panthers in scoring with 15 TDs, including three rushing touchdowns. The dual threat scored Georgia State's first rushing touchdown of the season against Memphis (Sept. 6). He matched his career-high three touchdowns from passes against Murray State (Sept. 13). He leads the panthers through the air, going 86-for-128 for 882 yards.Â

On the defensive side, linebacker
Josiah Robinson leads the Panthers with 61 tackles (28 UA), with six tackles for loss, a sack and a fumble recovery. Following closely behind is safety
Jaylen Jones with 40 tackles (22 UA), three tackle for loss and a safety.Â

THE QUARTERBACKS' ROOM

Cameran Brown joined the Panthers for the 2025 season and made an immediate impact in the passing and run game, throwing for 1,123 yards and rushing for 284. Brown got his first start of the season in the Panthers' rivalry game at Georgia Southern (Oct. 18), and has had the starting position since. He leads the Panthers in touchdowns (15) and completion percentage (65.2).Â

In the Georgia Southern games, Brown entered the record book tying for fifth-most single-game pass completions (9), and placing seventh in the record brook for single-game completion percentage (76.3). Brown tied the single-season program record for completion percentage against Murray State (Sept. 13) after going 10-for-12 through the air.Â

The redshirt junior completed one passing and one rushing touchdown, and went 8-for-12 for 139 yards, against Memphis (Sept. 6), marking his first two touchdowns of the season.

In hist first start of the season, Brown had a season-best 280 passing yards on 29 completions, and a career-high 120 rushing yards against Georgia Southern (Oct. 18).Â

TJ Finley made his Georgia State Debut as the Panthers' starter in week two against Memphis. In his first game in blue and white, the 6-7 QB went 21-for-29 for 201 yards. Finley is second in the Panthers' QB room with 816 yards.Â

The veteran QB joined the Panthers' active roster after week one of the season. Finely joined the Panthers from Western Kentucky, where he started in three games before being sidelined due to injury. Â
