ATLANTA-- Georgia State hosts Presbyterian for the 2025-26 home-opener on Monday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the GSU Convocation Center.
The Panthers opened the season with road matches at Eastern Michigan (SBC-MAC Challenge) and No. 25 Cincinnati.
Redshirt junior Jelani Hamilton leads the Panthers on the season, averaging 19.5 ppg. He put up[ a team season-high 26 points at Cincinnati (Nov. 7).
Hamilton earned 2025-26 Preseason All-Sun Belt honors after coming to Georgia State for the 2024-25 season and making an immediate impact. Returning home, Hamilton played in all 33 games and led the team with 38 total steals. He finished the 2024-25 season averaging 10.8 ppg and 3.5 rpg.
The Panthers return six from the previous season, including impact starters in Jelani Hamilton and Malachi Brown, and welcome nine newcomers (7 transfers, 2 freshmen) to the squad.
The Panthers started the season with two exhibition games, and went 1-1 going into regular season play. Georgia State hosted the CareSource Invitational against Georgia before heading down the road to Morehouse.
SERIES NOTES: Georgia State and Presbyterian are meeting for the fifth time in program history, and the first time this century.
Georgia State and Presbyterian met four times within two seasons (1963-65), but have not seen each other since.
The Panthers are 0-4 in the series after falling 108-77 in 1965.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HOSE: Presbyterian hits the road for the first time after starting the season 2-1 and coming off a 2-0 run.
The Blue Hose opened the season with a 76-55 loss to Navy, but have defeated Bluefield and Eastern Tennessee State University in the last two matchups.
The Panthers hosts Fort Valley State on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m. before going on a month-long, six-game swing.
