ATLANTA — Georgia State will host ESPN's SportsCenter live from the heart of campus ahead of the Panthers' Thursday night football matchup against South Alabama.
The live broadcast will take place on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 2–3 p.m. ET at Unity Plaza, located in the center of the Georgia State campus. The show will be hosted by ESPN's Matt Barrie, who captures and highlights the campus energy and anticipation ahead of the nationally televised Sun Belt Conference matchup at Center Parc Credit Union Stadium.
Georgia State students, alumni and fans are encouraged to attend the live show to highlight their school spirit and be part of the national broadcast. Attendees will have the chance to appear on camera in the background of the show, proudly representing the Panther family.
In addition to ESPN's broadcast, the on-campus event will feature performances and appearances by the Panther Spirit Squad, Pounce the Panther, members of the Georgia State Marching Band and a special guest appearance by Head Football Coach Dell McGee.
Fans in attendance will also be invited to take part in interactive events, exciting giveaways, and multiple chances to appear on the nationally televised broadcast. The event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate Panther pride while engaging with one of ESPN's premier college football showcases.
The Georgia State vs. South Alabama game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET, bringing Panther football to prime time in front of a national audience.
