ATLANTA-- After falling to Coastal Carolina just one week earlier, Georgia State hosts the rematch against Coastal Carolina on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the GSU Convocation Center.
Georgia State and Coastal Carolina are meting for the 20th time in program history. The Panthers are 5-14 in the series after falling 68-83 to the Chanticleers on Jan. 16, 2025.
TOP STORY LINES:
> After falling in game one against Georgia Southern, Georgia State defeated the Eagles in a triple-overtime decision on the road on Jan. 18. In the 88-83 win, the Panthers tied the program record for single-game three-pointers. Kaleigh Addie led the Panthers at the three-point line, going 5-for-7 from deep.
> Georgia State clinched its first conference win at Texas State after three Panthers (Mikyla Tolivert, Crystal Henderson and Mya Williams) scored in double figures to lead the Panthers to a 59-51 win over the Bobcats. After trailing throughout the game, GSU went on a 22-6 run in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
>The Panthers defeated Sewanee 107-49 to mark one of the largest margins of victory in program history (9th in program history).
> Georgia State opened the season with three Power 5 opponents, including Georgia Tech, Georgia and Alabama. Its season was highlighted by a 66-60 upset over Georgia.
STATE IN THE SUN BELT:
> Led by Mikyla Tolivert, who is sixth in the conference in free-throw percentage, Georgia State ranks fourth in the conference in overall free throw percentage, averaging 71.8.
> The Panthers lead the Sun Belt in blocks per-game, averaging 4.3 pg. Mahogany Matthews, who leads the Panthers in blocks, also leads the conference and ranks eighth in the nation for total blocks with 46. She also leads the conference and ranks seventh in the nation for blocks per-game with 2.56.
> Led by Mya Williams, the Panthers also rank fifth in the conference for three-pointers per game (7.4).
> The Panthers also rank top 10 in the Sun Belt for steals pg (2nd/ 11.2), turnovers forced per-game (4th/ 20.17) assist/turnover ratio (9th/ 0.75) and three-point percentage (9th/ 31.9).
> The Panthers finished the 2023-24 season ranking third in the Sun Belt in blocks per game (3.2) and bench points (23.7), which finished 38 in the nation. The Panthers also finished fourth in the conference in assists per game (13.6) and steals (9.6).

> Senior Mikyla Tolivert stands at 7th overall in the program for free throws made with 291. She is 17 free-throws away from the No. 6 spot of 308.
> Tolivert joined the Panthers' thousand-point club after scoring her thousandth career point in the Panthers' win over Western Carolina (Nov. 19).
BIG TWO: Preseason All-Sun Belt First Team Guard Miklya Tolivert is the Panthers' leading scorer with 13.4 ppg
> The senior guard's 77.8 free-throw percentage leads the team and ranks sixth in the Sun Belt.
> Tolivert averages 4.1 rpg, 2.41 apg and 33 steals, which is the second-most steals on the team.
CRYSTAL CLEAR: Sophomore leader Crystal Henderson, named to the 2024 preseason All-Sun Belt First Team, is third on the Panthers' leaderboard with 10.3 ppg,. She leads the team in assists (77) and steals (47). Henderson averages 2.7 rpg.
> Her 46 steals ranks second in the conference and ranks top 50 in the nation.
> Henderson is second in the Sun Belt for total assists (77). Her 4.1 assists per-game ranks fourth in the conference. She is also second in the conference with a 1.71 assist/turnover ratio.
> Henderson is second on the team in three-point percentage (38.6) after going 17-for-44 from deep.
> Henderson led the Panthers with 21 points, four rebounds and seven assists in the Panthers 88-83 triple-overtime win over Georgia Southern (Jan. 18).
SHARP SHOOTERS:
> Junior guard Kaleigh Addie is second on the Panthers leaderboard with 10.8 ppg. She has the best field goal accuracy on the team, averaging 43.3 percent in the paint.
> Addie averages 2.1 rpg and 1.19 apg.
> Addie was the key factor in the Panthers triple-overtime win over Georgia Southern (Jan. 18). Addie went 5-for7 and had a perfect day at the free-throw line to help the Panthers to an 88-83 win over the Eagles.
> Senior Mya Williams continues to lead the Panthers' squad in three-pointers made through another year, totaling 29 made and averaging 33.3 percent from deep.
> The senior guard is fourth on the Panthers' leaderboard with 8.8 ppg, 2.5 rpg and nine assists.
> After coming off of a redshirt season, sophomore guard Eghosa Obasuyi has quickly made a name for herself on the Panthers' squad.
> Obasuyi averages 3.8 ppg and 0.5 rpg.
> The redshirt sophomore leads the Panthers in 3-point average, averaging 48.1 percent after going 13-for-27 from deep.

> In her second year at Georgia State, Patience Williams leads the Panthers in rebounding, averaging 5.5 rpg. She averages 4.7 ppg and totals 16 assists.
