CARROLLTON, GA --The Georgia State volleyball team earned a three-set sweep (25-13, 25-14, 26-24) over the Morgan State Lady Bears Friday at The Coliseum.
The out-of-conference victory improved Georgia State's overall record to 2-2 on the season.
Akira Burt finished with 11 kills on the day to lead the Panthers attack.Patrycja Zielinska also pitched in with five in the contest. got 16 digs from Kaleigh Fitzgerald to lead them defensively.

SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Georgia State put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-14 victory in set number two. The Panthers led from the opening point on in the set to earn the victory. Georgia State opened its biggest lead of the stanza, 11 points, to close out the set, totaling 15 kills along the way. The Panthers hit .313 over the course of the set. The Georgia State offense also got a boost from five aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Georgia State took set three to earn a victory by sweep. The Panthers survived a back-and-forth set to win 26-24 in a stanza that featured eight lead changes and was tied 13 times. Neither team opened up a lead of more than four points along the way. The Georgia State offense also got a boost from four aces in the stanza.
