NASHVILLE, TN - After going undefeated and only losing one set at the West Georgia Tournament, Georgia State travels to Nashville to compete in the Tiger Invitational Tournament. The Panthers will face Tennessee State, Bethune-Cookman and Mississippi Valley State.
The Panthers will face Tennessee State to open the tournament on Friday Sept. 13 at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, Georgia State will take on Bethune-Cookman at 12:00 p.m. and Mississippi Valley State at 3:00 p.m. Head coach Flavia Siqueira travels to her second away tournament at Georgia State after serving as the head coach at Auburn Montogmery for five seasons.
Georgia State and Tennessee State will compete in their second-ever meeting. In the last meeting, Tennesee State took the match 3-1 at a neutral site in April 2010. Georgia State will be taking on Bethune-Cookman for the second time in program history after defeating the Wildcats 3-2 in 2014. The Panthers face Mississippi Valley State for the second time in program history after sweeping them 3-0 in 2018.
Georgia State is set to compete in the Tulane/UNO Tournament on Sept. 20, following the Tiger Invitational Tournament. The Panthers will face Louisiana Tech, Tulane and New Orleans.
