ATLANTA, GA -- JoJo Jackson had two home runs and five RBI, but Georgia State fell 14-13 in 10 innings to Seton Hall Saturday at the GSU Baseball Complex.
The Panthers (1-5) rallied from an 8-5 deficit in the top of the fourth inning, tying the game in the bottom half on a run-scoring single by Michael Maginnis. The Panthers then took the lead a 9-8 lead on Jesse Donohoe's RBI-single in the eighth.
From there, the teams traded the lead four more times. After Seton Hall (5-1) scored three in the eighth to take a 13-11 lead, Georgia State tied the game on RBI-singles by Will Mize and Taylor Shultz.
Davis Chastain pitched a 1-2-3Â top of the ninth for GSU, the Panthers could not score in the bottom half, forcing extra innings.
Seton Hall pushed across a run in the 10th on a walk, sac bunt, and then singles by Jonathan Luders and Stausc Pokrovsky. Henry Koehler drew a one-out walk in the Panthers' 10th inning but was stranded.Â
The series finale is Sunday at 1 p.m. at the GSU Baseball Complex.
