Andreea Stanescu led the Panthers (2-5) to their second win of the season against Jacksonville State on Friday.
Georgia State started strong in the match as they took two out of three doubles matches. On doubles court one, Stanescu and Alba Retortillo posted a dominant 6-3 win. After seeing defeat on court three, Radojevic along with
Luciana Galvez clinched the doubles point for the Panthers with a 6-4 win on court two, giving them a 1-0 lead entering singles.
In singles play, Radojevic put up another point for the Panthers, as she defeated her opponent with a quick 6-0, 6-2 decision on court six. Following the freshman, Stanescu added another point to the lead with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory on court four.
The Panthers dropped matches on courts two and five, making the score 3-2. With two matches left to play, sophomore
Maria Paredes stepped up and clinched the match for the Panthers with a 6-4, 6-3 victory on court one.
Georgia State women's tennis is back at home on Sunday Feb 18 to take on Penn at 11 a.m.
