ATLANTA—Georgia State football announced 29 signees to the 2025 early signing class, announced by Georgia State Head Football Coach Dell McGee.
"I would like thank our entire coaching staff, the recruiting department, our academic administration, administration and the players in our program for volunteering their time and effort to contribute to acquiring new Panthers into our family," head coach McGee said, reflecting on the 2025 signees. "These new Panthers will bring a wealth of talent, character and family values, with an emphasis on education."
With 29 additions to the squad, the 2025 signing class marks the biggest signing class in Georgia State history. This year's signing class is also the highest-rated signing class among all 2025 Sun Belt signing classes, according to 247 Sports.
Georgia State's 2025 recruiting class also ranks 59th in the nation, according to ESPN.

Jartavius Flounoy | DT | 6-1 | 306 | Colquitt County High School, Ga.
Three-year letter winner out of Colquitt County High school... Registered 10 sacks, 19 Tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in his senior season... Helped to lead Colquitt to an 8-4 record and an appearance in the GHSA State Playoffs.
Alex Mullings | DT | 6-1 | 288 | Demopolis High School, Ala.
Four-year letterwinner out of Demopolis High School who played both offensive and defensive line...
Kelan Butler | OLB | 6-2 | 232 | Jefferson High School, Ga.
A four-year letter winner... Kelan is a speedy pass rusher who recorded five sacks in his senior season... Butler also recorded 10 tackles for loss in his senior season and totaled 74 tackles... Ran freshman 100-meter times of 11.14, 11.39, 11.44, and 11.49 in Spring 2022.
Derrick Avery Jr. | WR | 6-0 | 180 | Chattahoochee High School, Ga.
First-team All-State Honoree out of Chattahoochee High School...One of only 29 players in Georgia High School Football history to reach 3000 receiving yards in his career...Hauled in 203 receptions for 3084 yards with 33 touchdowns in his four years at Chattahoochee...Combined for 28 touchdown receptions in his final two years, including 16 in his senior year and 12 in his junior year...Eclipsed the 1000-yard single-season receiving mark in his senior year with 1259 yards on 78 receptions...Recorded 42 tackles in his final two years on the defensive side of the ball with four interceptions in his junior year...Earned Class 5A First Team All-State honors in his junior year...Also competed in Track and Field, where he posted a 11.21 effort in the 100-meter dash, a 22.90 in the 200-meter dash, and was a State qualifier in the high jump as a junior with a personal best 6-4 on the season.
Tojuan Peyton Jr. | RB | 5-8 | 196 | Lanier High School, Ga.
A three-year letter winner... Tojuan has run for 1708 yards and 21 touchdowns this season... He is also a prolific kick returner totaling 411 return yards on the season... With rushing, receiving, and returning Tojuan averaged 215.7 all purpose yards per game this season for Lanier High School.
Zion Lawson | OLB | 6-2 | 240 | Jackson-Atlanta High School, Ga.
A two-year letter winner... Zion plays both offense and defense for Jackson High School... Two-way player as a junior as Maynard H. Jackson getting snaps at EDGE, DE, iDL, RB, TE and FB... Zion had six tackles for loss his senior season and added one receiving touchdown as well.
Pherleski Martin Jr. | OT | 6-4 | 318 | Shiloh High School, Ga.
A 6'4 Offensive Linemen who is a three-year letter winner at Shiloh High School in Georgia... Helped the Generals run for 197.3 yards per game this season
D'onte Fulton | WR | 5-11 | 159 | Worth County High School , Ga.
A four-year letter winner... Fulton has caught 51 passes for 861 yards this season... He has 38 career touchdowns in his four seasons of high school football... Fulton also plays soccer and competes in track and field events, including a second-place finish in the state championship high jump competition as a sophomore.
Damaryion Fillmore | CB | 5-10 | 189 | Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C, Miss.
Comes to Georgia State after spending two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College... His sophomore season Filmore registered 37 tackles and three interceptions in 10 games played... As a freshman, played in 8 games … Had 6 tackles and 5 assists. A 6-4, 290-pound Defensive Line from Moreno Valley, CA... In his two seasons at Mount San Jacinto College... Tallied 4.5 sacks and 40 tackles.
Demonte Gaston | S | 6-2 | 199 | Hutchinson C.C., Kan.
Comes to Georgia State after spending two seasons at Hutchinson Community College... Recorded two interceptions over two seasons... Also recorded seven pass breakups in his two seasons.
Ladainnian Martin | RB | 5-10 | 182 | J.L. Mann High School , S.C.
