AUBURN, AL --Nick McMullen registered a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds, but Georgia State lost to the #2 Auburn Tigers 59-100 on the road Tuesday night.
The Panthers (4-7) had two players score in double figures, led by McMullen, who put together a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Cesare Edwards added 15 points and seven rebounds, and Malachi Brown added seven points and two steals.
McMullen pulled down five offensive rebounds to pace the Georgia State offense, which grabbed 17 boards and turned them into 20 second-chance points.

Nick McMullen led the Panthers with a double-double, tallying 15 points and 16 rebounds in an impressive all-around effort. Cesare Edwards added 15 points, shooting 50% from the field, while Malachi Brown contributed seven points and dished out two assists. Despite their efforts, the Panthers struggled offensively, shooting 33.9% from the field and 18.2% from three-point range.
Auburn's depth and efficiency proved too much, as the Tigers shot 57.4% from the floor and capitalized on 20 Georgia State turnovers, scoring 30 points off those opportunities. Georgia State fought hard in the first half, trailing 43-31 at the break, but Auburn pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 28-57. Despite the loss, McMullen's standout game highlighted the Panthers' resilience against one of the nation's top-ranked teams.
