ATLANTA, -- Georgia State closed its season with a competitive 7-4 loss to Kentucky on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the GSU Soccer Complex. The Panthers struck first in the 17th minute when Tom Williams found the back of the net, assisted by Gustavo Marques. Kentucky responded with three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead by halftime. Georgia State continued to push offensively, and Miguel Ramirez scored twice in the second half, with assists from Tyrone Kirunda and Bryan Silva. Silva added another late goal in the 87th minute, bringing the Panthers within reach before Kentucky sealed the game with a final goal in the 90th minute. Despite the result, Georgia State recorded 23 shots, 16 on target, and kept Kentucky's defense active throughout the match.
