ATLANTA-- After a historic season for head coach Flavia Siqueria and the Panthers volleyball team, Georgia State clinches the No. 5 seed in the Sun Belt East and will face No. 4( West) Troy in the first round of the the Sun Belt Championship tournament on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. ET, the conference announced on Saturday.
Georgia State finished the regular season 16-12 (6-9 Sun Belt), marking the best regular-season finish in program history since 2009.
The Panthers are facing Troy for the 38th time in program history, dating back to 1993. The Panthers are 18-19 in the series against the Trojans after falling 2-3 at home in 2021.
The winner of the first round match will face No. 1 (East) seed App State in round two.
