ATLANTA --Ted Hurst snagged his ninth touchdown of the season to break the program record for single season touchdowns in the Panthers 27-20 loss against Arkansas State at home on Saturday evening.
Offensively, Christian Veilleux led Georgia State's passing attack with 245 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. He also tacked on 19 yards on the ground.
Michel Dukes totaled 32 yards to lead the Panthers' ground attack in the game, picking up 5.3 yards per carry along the way. Dukes also tacked on one receiving touchdown.
Ted Hurst hauled in nine catches for 173 yards and one score. Petey Tucker made his presence felt in the passing game, recording five receptions for 64 yards.
Josiah Robinson showed out for the Georgia State defense, recording 10 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and 1.5 sacks. Christian Lorenzo added three tackles, 1.0 TFL and one sack.
Defensively, Georgia State did an excellent job neutralizing the Arkansas State passing attack, holding the Red Wolves to 97 yards through the air. The Panthers defense disrupted Arkansas State's backfield all game, piling up four sacks.

Georgia State got on the scoreboard first and opened up a 7-0 lead with 7:17 left in the first quarter.Arkansas State scored to go ahead 14-7 before the Panthers responded to even the game at 14-14.
Arkansas State fought back to take a 24-14 lead before Georgia State put a field goal on the board to narrow the gap with 11:18 left in the fourth quarter and make it a 24-17 game.Arkansas State scored to increase its lead to 27-17 before the Panthers scored again to narrow the gap and make it a 27-20 game. Neither team scored again in the game.
