Panthers Back at Home to take on Appalachian State

ATLANTA, GA. - After taking two matches against Marshall on the road, Georgia State is back home to take on Appalachian State. The Panthers will face the Mountaineers Friday, Nov. 1 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2:00 p.m. 

Georgia State has won four consecutive conference matches over the past two weekends. The Panthers rank first in conference in team kills and team assists, second in team service aces, and third in team digs. Georgia State is one win away from winningest season since 2009. Currently standing in third place in the Sun Belt, the Panthers only need one win over the Mountaineers to tie for second, and two to take over the No. 2 spot in the Sun Belt.

Georgia State and Appalachian State are meeting for the twenty-third time in program history. Georgia State has taken eight out of the twenty-two matches against App State. The Panthers fell to App State in their last meeting 0-3 on Oct. 2023.

Next up, Georgia State travels to take on Georgia Southern on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6:00 p.m and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2:00 p.m.
