STATESBORO, -- Georgia State played to a 1-1 draw against Georgia Southern on Friday, Oct. 18, at Bo Pitts Field in Statesboro. Charlie Ward put the Panthers ahead in the 36th minute, finishing a cross from Braiden Hall. Georgia State's defense held strong throughout the match, with goalkeeper Finn Marchisen making seven crucial saves. However, the Eagles found a late equalizer with 10 seconds left to force the draw.

Georgia State opened the scoring when Charlie Ward scored his first goal of the season in the 35th minute, assisted by Braiden Hall.
The Eagles responded to tie things up on a goal from Toby Nevile in the 89th minute, assisted by Massimo Caruso. The 1-1 score held to the end of the game.
