CONWAY, SC --The Georgia State volleyball team could not overcome a potent Lady Chanticleers offense Friday on the road falling to Coastal Carolina in three sets (22-25, 21-25, 18-25).
The loss dropped Georgia State's record to 10-7 overall and 1-4 in Sun Belt action.
Peyton Gash finished with 13 kills on the day to lead the Panthers offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .5. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Kaleigh Fitzgerald had 14 and Shanelle Martinez had 11.

SET 1 | The Panthers dropped a back-and-forth first set, losing 25-22 in a game that featured four lead changes and was tied seven times. Neither team led by more than three points in the set.
SET 2 | A 25-21 second-set loss put Georgia State in a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Panthers lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Coastal Carolina finished the sweep with a set-three win. The Panthers fell in a tough set 25-18. Georgia State trailed by as many as seven points as Coastal Carolina grabbed the advantage for good at 11-10 in a set that was tied up six times before the Lady Chanticleers took over the lead.
