MONROE, La. -- Georgia State shut out ULM 1-0 on the road at Brown Stadium to open conference play. The Panthers opened the scoring when Aaliyah Faddoul scored her fifth goal of the season in the 57th minute, assisted by Jimena Cabrero. The goal was the only score of the match.
Jimena Cabrero delivered a beautiful pass from the other side of midfield, which Aaliyah Faddoul was able to run down and finish past the ULM goalie. The goal is a team leading fifth on the season for Aaliyah Faddoul.
Jaddah Foos recorded 3 saves and kept a clean sheet for the full 90 minutes for the Panthers.
GSU improved to 5-1-3 overall and 1-0-0 in Sun Belt play following the victory.
The Panthers return to the pitch on Sunday Sept. 24 for their conference home opener against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.
