ATLANTA -- Georgia State softball standouts Carolyn Deady, Bailee Richardson, Emily Brown, Elle Doolittle, and Hallie Adams were named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.
 
The Academic All-District® Softball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
 
Georgia State's honorees:
 
Carolyn Deady is a junior catcher played all 53 games for the Panthers, she tallied 213 putouts only receiving one error for a .996 Fld%. She is currently working on her bachelors degree in Interdisplinary Studies and earned a 3.98 GPA this year. 
 
Bailee Richardson is a senior third baseman from Locust Grove, Ga who led the Panthers with 33 RBIs, eight doubles and nine home runs. She graduated this Spring with her bachelors degree in Sport Administration with a 4.0 GPA, one of the highest GPA on the Panthers squad. 
 
Emily Brown is a senior center fielder from Suwanee, Ga who led the Panthers in batting with an avg of .395, 70 hits, 87 total bases, five triples and 26 stolen bases. She graduated this Spring with her bachelors in Psychology with a 3.95 GPA.
 
Elle Doolittle is a junior pitcher from Macon, Ga who led the Panthers in wins with nine and innings pitched. She is earning her bachelors degree in Psychology and posted a 3.91 GPA for the 2023 academic year.
 
Hallie Adams is a sophomore pitcher from Marietta, Ga who led the Panthers in ERA and strikeouts appearing in 17 games this season. She is currently earning her bachelors degree in Clinical Informatics and earned a GPA of 3.72.
