ATLANTA --The Georgia State Panthers were not able to score a run against Troy pitcher sophomore Alyssa Faircloth on Sunday and were shut out 10-0 by the Trojans.
Senior Sydney Boulware (3-14) got the ball to start for Georgia State (12-38, ) and took the loss.
Offensively, the Panthers were paced by senior Chloe Middlebrooks, who went 1-for-1 on the day with a double and a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgia State did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Panthers went 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the first, when Middlebrooks made it into scoring position with one out.
GAME NOTES
» Georgia State pitchers faced 31 Troy hitters in the game, allowing five ground balls and seven fly balls while striking out three.
» Middlebrooks led the Panthers at the plate, going 1-for-1 with a double.
The Panther will look to make the most of their last series of the regular season against Marshall Thursday.
