Nnamoko and Mann Hit Double-Doubles in 122-45 victory over Toccoa Falls

ATLANTA, GA -- Edward Nnamoko and Jamaine Mann recorded double-doubles to lead Georgia State to a record-setting 122-45 victory over Toccoa Falls Tuesday at the GSU Convocation Center.

The 122 points tie the school record for points in a regulation game; the overall record is 123 in the four-overtime win at Georgia Tech in 2020-21. The Panthers also set the program record for the largest margin of victory (77).

Georgia State (5-6) had seven players score in double figures, tying program history for most players with double figures in a game, led by Toneari Lane with 18 points. Freshman Malik Ferguson scored a career-high 17 points, and Lucas Taylor also scored 17.

Nnamoko, the sophomore center, recorded career highs with 11 points and 16 rebounds, while Mann had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Fifth-year senior Jay'Den Turner tallied nine points to hit the 1,000-point mark in his career.

GSU shot 55 percent from the field, including 15 3-pointers, and pulled down 62 rebounds to rank third in the program for most single-game rebounds. The Panthers held Toccoa Falls to 24 percent shooting and held a 62-30 rebounding advantage.

How It Happened

After jumping out to a 27-12 advantage, Georgia State went on a 15-0 run with 9:41 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Dwon Odom, to increase its lead to 42-12. The Panthers added eight points to that lead by the end of the period and entered halftime with a 59-21 advantage. Georgia State did most of its first-half damage in the paint, scoring 30 of its 59 points close to the basket.

Following intermission, Georgia State kept widening that lead, expanding it to 103-39 before going on a 12-0 run to grow the lead to 115-39 with 4:05 to go in the contest. The Panthers kept expanding the margin and coasted the rest of the way for the 122-45 win. Georgia State got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 43 of its 63 total points.
