From the Beach to the Bank

ATLANTA -- As the Georgia State beach volleyball team was winning its 2022 conference title and making its remarkable run to the final six in the NCAA Championship, one of the Sandy Panthers' key performers was Kayla Whetstone.

The graduate transfer joined the Georgia State program for her final season, and while helping the Panthers to a 28-13 record and the highest final ranking achieved by any GSU team in any sport, she also earned her master's degree from Georgia State's prestigious Robinson College of Business.

Just a few weeks after that historic season ended, Whetstone was hired as a financial analyst in Wells Fargo's small business banking unit.
