Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Panthers Tie Chattanooga, 1-1, at Home

ATLANTA— The Georgia State women's soccer team tied Chattanooga, 1-1, in the Panthers' second regular-season match at home on Thursday. GSU moves to 2-0-1 for the season with the draw.

GSU battled Chattanooga in a scoreless first half that saw the teams chart only two shots each. The Panthers maintained possession for 59% of the first 45 minutes of play.

After entering second-half competition, sophomore forward Bree Barley gave the Panthers a 1-0 advantage with a goal in the 58th minute. The All-Sun Belt Conference First Team selection in 2021 connected on her first goal of the 2022 season with the score. 

With GSU leading, 1-0, through 87 minutes of play, Chattanooga found the equalizer in the 87th minute and tied the match at 1-1. Goalkeeper Jaddah Foos recorded five saves in a second half that saw Chattanooga attempt 11 total shots with six shots on goal.

GSU will return to play on Sunday, Aug. 28 in a road match facing Kennesaw State. KSU will host the match at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga. with live stats available to fans.
