Panthers Cross Country Announces 2022 Schedule

ATLANTA— Preparing to open the 2022 season in nine days, head coach Kyle Stevenson and Georgia State cross country have announced the team's schedule for the fall. The Panthers' slate of competition will feature four outings in Alabama leading up to conference and NCAA regional championship meets.

GSU opens the regular season at the Foothills Invitational on Sept. 2. Jacksonville State will host the meet in Oxford, Ala.

The team follows up the season-opening invitational with the North Alabama Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. on Sept. 16. Five returning Panthers set personal records for the 5k run at last year's showcase in Huntsville, including Emma Devis (18:30.9), Frankie Muldoon (19:45.6), Kennedy Morris (20:37.6), Erica Hambacker (21:39.6) and Morgan Manley (23:28.9).

The Panthers' third meet of 2022 will be hosted by Point University on Oct. 1. The team prepares to compete at the Skyhawk Valley Invitational for the first time in the program's history.

GSU concludes the regular season at the UAB Blazer Cross Country Classic in Birmingham, Ala. on Oct. 14. Sun Belt Conference Championship competition will take place in Foley, Ala. on Oct. 29.

The NCAA South Regional Championship will be held in Huntsville, Ala. on Nov. 11.
